"Papier-Mâché Christmas Wreath"

Submitted by Becky of Loveland Colorado

I made these ornaments with my children a couple of years ago.  They were ages 4 to 8 and they were so proud to show them off.  It's a great reminder of what they looked like that year!

Supplies:

1 sheet of green paper (any craft store, I used Scissor Sisters paper)

Leaf paper punch (hobby lobby)

Lid of papier-mâché box (hobby lobby)

Modge podge (any craft store)

Gingham ribbon (any craft store)

Small alphabet beads (hobby lobby)

Steps:

First use your leaf paper punch and punch out a whole bunch of leaves using your green paper.  Enough to make it as full as you would like.

Take your papier-mâché box lid and cover the top with modge podge.

Place your punched leaves all over the top of the lid ( I used a square lid, but you can use a round lid as well)

Find your favorite photo and place on backside of lid so that the picture shows thru. (my box already had an opening for a picture)

Cover the whole thing with modge podge, it will dry clearly.

After it dries (about 20 minutes) pokes holes thru the top of the lid and string your ribbon thru (make it long enough to hang your ornament)

Use your ribbon and your alphabet beads and spell out your name or year then adhere with glue.
