Homemade Christmas Ornaments
"Stolen from the Scrapbook Ornament" Submitted by Kim
Caple of Plymouth, MA One of my favorite things to do with crafting is to use materials that are unexpected or intended for a different use. This ornament was created using items "stolen" from the scrapbook section of my crafting inventory. Begin with a bookplate or any shape as long as there are holes at either end. Bookplates can be purchased at your scrapbooking, arts & crafts, or even office supply store. Using flexible wire, put approximately 2 inches of wire through the top hole. Wrap the end around several time to secure the wire to the bookplate. Add beads or wire wrapped items (I used sea glass), and repeat the process at the bottom. You can add a decorative bead that dangles from the bottom also. This is a great way to use up beading and scrapbooking supplies while creating very tasteful ornaments to coordinate with your décor.
