Homemade Christmas Ornaments

"Prism and Doily Ornament"

This is a great way to use some of the jewelry you have lying around that you are no longer using. It is a fun way to be very creative! These are some of the quickest and most elegant ornaments I have ever created.

Materials:

2 doilies
Prism
Miscellaneous jewelry
Glue such as E6000
Gold cord

Directions: 

Place some waxed paper down to protect your table. I like to use waxed paper because if some of the glue leaks through, it doesn’t stick to the waxed paper as badly as it would to regular paper.

Arrange the doilies as you want them. Be sure to overlap them in the middle. Glue them together. I remove the pin, clip, post or whatever might be poking out the back side of the jewelry I’ll be using with wire cutters. Attach a broach, button or other large piece of jewelry with the E6000 in the middle where the doilies are glued together. 

I added the prism to the bottom with wire. I glued a coordinating piece of jewelry to the prism for embellishment. You can glue any other small pieces of jewelry to the ornament as you wish. Finish with a gold cord loop for hanging on the tree. The cord may be tied on (if there is a place for tying) or glued in place.
