Homemade Christmas Ornaments

"Simple Chique Tree Ornament"

What makes this ornament special is the level of elegance you can achieve with a small amount of supplies, very little effort and very little time. 

I had the straw balls for a while and never new what to do with them. Now I wish I had more of them...

This one is way too easy to make. You will need a straw ball about the size of a grapefruit, ribbon and a decorative floral cluster. All of these items can be found at your local craft store.

Place the floral cluster on the ball, you can hot glue it to the ball or just bend the wire to secure it in place. Second make a bow with your ribbon and glue the bow in place behind the cluster on top of the ball. 

Finally, cut a second piece of ribbon 10-12 inches long and place a fold in the ribbon and insert it offset from the center under the cluster as shown in the picture. Then wrap the two ends of the ribbon to the front and side. That's it! You're done! 

You can play around with the look and place the ribbon in different positions... the possibilities are endless.
