Frugal Recipes Michelle's Meals on a Budget Homemade Tarter Sauce I know it may seem like the most disgusting thing you've ever heard of, but what's even better served with tarter sauce (than seafood) is, of all things, French fries! If you haven't tried it yet, please do! Now, if you like tarter sauce and normally purchase the premade variety at the grocery store just remember these three ingredients you probably already have in your fridge and you can save some money (and extra preservatives) by making it yourself. * * * Ingredients: 1/2 cup mayonnaise 1 heaping teaspoonful of pickle relish Just a bit of lemon juice Directions: Blend ingredients together in a small bowl, cover and chill until ready to serve. Serve chilled tarter sauce with fish, shrimp, other seafood, or my favorite, French fries! :o) * * * See my recipe for Broiled Salmon Want more money-saving tips?
