Thrifty Money-Saving Tips Chocolate
for Baking - When to Stock Up
During the year
we use a lot of chocolate. I use it for cakes, cookies, pretzels and
strawberries. More...
After the holidays, stores will often put Hershey's milk chocolate kisses on sale for dirt cheap. I usually get them for a quarter a bag (or at least 50-75% off). You can get M&M's that way too. I then buy enough to last me all year. I just chop them up to make chocolate chips. People beg me to make my cakes all year and I just go to my chocolate reserves! You would be surprised how much money this saves you. Editor's Note: We checked with the Hershey company and solid chocolate products will maintain their quality if well wrapped and stored in a cool, dry place. And depending on the storage conditions, they have their best flavor for up to one year! :o) * * * October 2007 Tip Rewards Runner Up!!!
