Thrifty Money-Saving Tips Christmas
Paper
Last
year I didn't have any money for wrapping paper at Christmas, so I bought a roll
of craft mural paper at IKEA - look for art or school supply stores - for 7.99
and I figured it would cover all my gifts with some left over for my daughter to
draw on. More...
After the presents were wrapped I gave my daughter (then 2 years old) some crayons and she decorated the paper. After wrapping all the presents you could barely tell we'd used any paper. I've wrapped birthday presents all year, my daughter has used it for crafts and there is still enough to wrap presents this year (and for a few years to come from the looks of it.) Not only did I save money by not buying a dozen rolls of festive paper, I had it available all year round for other purposes... and everyone felt they had gotten a special treat because Bridie decorated their present. * * * December 2004 Tip Rewards Winner!!!
