Thrifty Money-Saving Tips Save
Money with Facebook
Using Facebook as a way to keep in touch with family and friends is convenient. But did you know you can also use Facebook to save money on your grocery bill?
More and more major companies these days have their own Facebook pages. Most of them offer incentives to readers who
"Like" their pages. Some of these incentives include the opportunity to win prizes, but more often than not, the incentive involves high value coupons for the reader. Here are a just of few of the ways I have saved money for my family by using Facebook.
A company that produces various Mexican food items offered a printable $2-off coupon to their Facebook fans. Each fan was allowed to print two, so I was able to get 2 cans of enchilada sauce (normally $1.88 each) for free.
A manufacturer of batteries offered $1-off printable coupons for their Facebook fans. Again, I was allowed to print two (sometimes they only allow one) so I took them to my local Walmart which had AA and AAA 4-packs for only $.97. With my two coupons, I got 2 packages of free batteries.
A popular juice manufacturer sent me a can of their new sparkling carbonated juice, just for "liking" them on Facebook.
A sock/underwear company allowed each Facebook fan two $1-off coupons for some new socks. Very handy at back-to-school time.
I got a package of 12 plastic little girls’ bracelets from a frozen food manufacturer.
